Clients
So, your attorney told you that you need an immigration assessment and you have no clue what that even means.
That’s OK, let me explain what that means.
Basically, an immigration assessment is a evaluation in which we look at the difficulties that your spouse’s immigration case is having on your life and your family’s life.
It’s actually pretty simple. You fill out some questionnaires and come in for an interview. Then I write the assessment and evaluation and send it to your attorney.
Just like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. Yes, you can use a cheaper evaluator but more than likely you will get a poorly written report with no psychological testing. Each evaluation takes me about 6 hours or more to complete. The client interview can take up to 2 hours. My evaluations range from $750-$1000 on the type of assessment you need.
** Online sessions will need to be paid prior to the appointment time via credit card, money order, or money gram.
Attorneys
You have lots of clients and an endless to-do list. You just can’t get to know everyone’s story to the core of their trauma. You can’t just wave a magic wand and fix your clients immigration status; it takes a team.
You can check off every box on your checklist for items to submit, but you know your clients are way more than check boxed: They are people, with families, jobs and real pain and trauma.
A hardship evaluation helps bring your clients story to life so that immigration officials see them as their neighbors, friends, and contributing members of society.

Just like anything else in life, you get what you pay for. Yes, you can use a cheaper evaluator but more than likely you will get a half ass written report with no psychological testing. My evaluations take about 6 hours or more to complete. The client interview can take up to 2 hours and in some cases even require more time. Evaluations range from $750-$1000 depending on what type of evaluation is needed.
I charge $750 for the basic hardship evaluation (I-601a, Application for Provisional Unlawful Waiver), this includes everything needed, no matter how many hours it takes, to include any revisions you might need.
Once we complete our last appointment, the normal turn around time for the assessment is 3 weeks. If you need it sooner than that, Please let me know and a rush fee of $250 will be added and the assessment will be completed in a week.
How do I get the assesment? I can email, fax or mail you a paper copy.
I grew up in Honduras and Nicaragua as a child of missionaries. Since I grew up in my non-passport country, I know what it is like to be a foreigner in another country and I have a heart for helping immigrants.
I am a native Spanish speaker (not book Spanish) who also understands the culture. This gives me the unique ability, in a licensed therapeutic setting, to assist attorneys in achieving positive outcomes for their clients.
